Description
This collection contains a manuscript and explanatory introduction by Mertice McCrea Buck-Knox entitled "Lieutenant Emory's Report of the Expedition Down the Gila in the Autumn of 1846" based on Emory's official report of 1848 entitled "Reconnaisance." This collection also contains maps and photographs regarding Emory and memorial papers on Buck-Knox.
