This collection contains correspondence to Mildred Sutton from family and friends serving during the Second World War. Also
included are photographs of the soldiers and other materials.
Background
Mildred Sutton was the wife of Dr. Frank Sutton. Dr. Sutton was a physician before he was the Assistant Medical Director,
later Medical Director of Rochelle General Hospital. The two lived in Rochester, New York during the Second World War and
their nephews, as well as their landlord's two sons, wrote to them during the war. They include:
