This collection contains two V-Mails sent from Lt. Robert W. Rill, USA to his friends and family during the Second World War.
Background
First Lieutenant Robert W. Rill, United States Army (6/25/1921 - 10/1/2013) was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to his parents
John and Minnie. Lt. Rill served the Army in the 258th Combat Engineering Battalion in Europe during the Second World War.
He married his wife Beatrice Louise Schmidt in 1943 and they continued to live in Lancaster, PA after the war until her death
in 2009 and his in 2013.
