Most of material was collected from 2005-2012. Some workshop materials date as early as 1965.
Background
The Southern California Church and Christian Non-Profit Organizations Material contains bulletins from local churches and retreat centers, articles on religion, and religious ephemera from Southern California. Former Fuller Seminary archivist Nancy Sanders Gower and contributor Glen Dawson created the collection between 2005-2012, taking the idea from former Fuller faculty member Dr. Wilbur Smith. Dr. Smith collected pamphlets of many religious groups in California in preparation for a book he proposed on, The Christian Traveler in California. The book was never published but his collection of pamphlets, and an outline of proposed chapters, is part of the Wilbur Smith Collection.
