Biographical Note
Avisov (Georgii Borisovich Avisov), 1927-2020; former president of the Congress of Russian Americans and US Naval engineer.
Avisov was born in Russia and immigrated to the United States in 1950.
Scope and Content of Collection
Includes correspondence, meeting minutes, news articles, editorials, photographs, member lists, and pledge documentation relating
to the activities of the Congress of Russian Americans. Also includes biographical information regarding Avisov, including
his time in the United States Navy.
