of various works by Inclan. Inclan was born in Mexico City, Mexico, in 1910. He studied humanities and electrical engineering
at the Aleman Colegio of Mexico City, and in the US at UC Berkeley. He began to write for the theater in 1948.
Background
Frederico Schroeder Inclan (1910-1981) was born in Mexico City. He studied mechanical and electrical engineering at the University
of California, Berkeley, and worked as a miner, farmer, salesman and streetcar worker in addition to his work as a dramatist.
He wrote 34 plays in a variety of genres, including tragedies, dramas, comedies, and detective comedies, and his work is noted
for its keen observations of life.
