Description
The collection consists of one box of folders of biographical information on various Catholic authors that the Rev. Harold F. Ryan, S.J., collected.
Background
Father Harold F. Ryan, S.J., was born in Sunnyside, Utah, in 1908 and died in 1979. He served as a professor of English at Loyola University (which later became Loyola Marymount University) in Los Angeles, California. He was instrumental in the development of the Department of English at then Loyola University and later served as Dean of the Graduate School (1954).
