Goldwyn was a co-founder of Paramount Pictures, co-founder of Goldwyn Pictures which was later bought and combined with other studios to create Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM), and the founder of Samuel Goldwyn Pictures. He also produced over 100 films.

    Scope and Contents

    This collection consists of blueprints for the production studios of American-Polish film producer Samuel Goldwyn (1882-1974).     Biographical / Historical

    Samuel Goldwyn (1882-1974) was an American-Polish film producer and founder of multiple motion picture studios. Goldwyn was a co-founder of Paramount Pictures, co-founder of Goldwyn Pictures which was later bought and combined with other studios to create Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM), and the founder of Samuel Goldwyn Pictures. He also produced over 100 films. These films include "The Best Years of Our Lives" (1946), "Guys and Dolls" (1955), "The Night of Love" (1927), and "Wuthering Heights" (1939).
