Description
Ephemera and periodicals documenting gay and lesbian performing arts and Unitarian Universalist groups. Includes programs and promotional materials from the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus; Caballeros, the Gay Men’s Chorus of Palm Springs; Dick Kramer Gay Men’s Chorale; Die Maennerstimmen, a Chamber Chorus of Men’s Voices; Temescal Gay Men’s Chorus; Golden Gate Men’s Chorus; Lesbian/Gay Chorus of San Francisco; Oakland East Bay Gay Men’s Chorus; Sacramento Men’s Chorus; Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles; San Diego Men’s Chorus; Gay Men’s Chorus of San Diego; Lesbian and Gay Bands of America; Greater American Yankee Freedom Band; Desert Winds Freedom Band; and San Francisco Gay Freedom Day Marching Band; as well as combined performances by Bay Area gay and lesbian musical groups at Grace Cathedral and other venues. Also includes ephemera from Society for Individual Rights; Theatre Rhinoceros; Men Behind Bars; Gay Men’s Theatre Collective; Encore Theatre; Cable Car Theatre; City Players; Silly Girlfriends Productions; Alcazar Theatre; Theatre on the Square; and the New Conservatory Theatre Center. Periodicals include issues of Unitarian-Universalist Gay Caucus News (U.U.G.C. News) spanning 1976 August to 1981 September. Issues of U.U.G.C. News’ successor publication, the Unitarian-Universalist Gay and Lesbian Caucus News (U.U.G.L.C. News) spanning 1981 October to 1982 January.
