Biographical / Historical

Barbara Martinez-Ruiz earned a B.A. from Havana University in 1994, and a Ph.D. from Yale in 2004. He is an Art Historian with a focus on African and Caribbean artistic, visual, and religious practices. Martinez-Ruiz was a member of Stanford University’s Department of Art and Art History faculty from 2004-2013.
