    Scope and Contents note

    The materials in this collection were gathered for The influence of people on the dune vegetation at Coal Oil Point Reserve, Santa Barbara County, California, a master's thesis on the western portion of the dunes surrounding the Coal Oil Point Reserve area at University of California, Santa Barbara. Included are research data and photographs collected by the author during the summer of 1970, notes from an interview with the manager of the Devereux School (former Campbell Estate), several news articles, and correspondence with a former plant ecologist who conducted research in test gardens there in 1939.

    Boyce was a graduate student in Botany at UCSB when she created and gathered these materials.
