manuals for classifying production costs and indirect expenses, some correspondence, reports, and internal studio documentation
of picture costs.
Background
Stella Stray was a bookkeeper in Hollywood from the mid-1910s into the 1950s. Trained as a stenographer, she became secretary
to Cecil B. DeMille and Jesse L. Lasky. As a bookkeeper she worked in the accounting department at Famous Players-Lasky Corporation
and Paramount Pictures Corp.
