Description
This collection contains records of Harvey Milk Gay Democratic Club (HMGDC) from 1977 to 1982. Originally the San Francisco
Gay Democratic Club, the organization was renamed after the assassination of Supervisor Harvey Milk in November 1978. Milk
had co-founded the club in 1976 after his unsuccessful campaign for California State Assembly. The contents of this collection
were amassed by Jim Gordon, co-founder, second Secretary and Historian of HMGDC.

will be restricted for 20 years.
