    Some of the pictures have writing on them indicating that they were sent or given to Frances by her friends.

    Biographical / Historical

    Frances Ruriko Yokoyama was born in 1920 in California. She was sent to Manzanar Incarceration Center with her mother. She was featured in an Ansel Adams photograph in 1943 at Manzanar. In 1947 she married Yoshio Otani in Los Angeles. They had three daughters together. She passed away in 2004.
