    Physical Description: .33 Cubic Feet Content notes: The collection contains items reflecting Mr. Reinhart's time in the military, and primarily relate to his maintenance work on the B-17 aircraft and other related airplanes. Included are maintenance manuals, airplane specification reports, materials created by Mr. Reinhart during training classes, diagrams and miscellaneous military notes and correspondence. The collection consists of one gray archival box, 12 x 5 x 10-1/2 inches.

    Abstract: Leonard Sylvester Reinhart was born November 22, 1919 in Bascom, Ohio. Leonard had six siblings and they all grew up and were schooled in Ohio. Leonard enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Forces on December 18, 1942, and was trained to maintain the B-17 aircraft, serving the majority of his military time at Amarillo Field, Amarillo, Texas. The materials in this collection were gathered during his military service. He was a farmer and worked in machine shops in his non- military years. He married Mildred M. Schmitz and they had three children. He passed away at age 55 on December 2, 1974 in Kane, Pennsylvania.
