Description
The Landscapes Glass Plate Negatives Collection contains 299 original glass plate negatives of various late 19th century geographic
landscapes and locations taken by an unknown photographer circa 1850-1886. The negatives represented include 252 images of
New Zealand, including the now submerged Pink and White Terraces, as well as Lake Rotomahana and Milford Sound. The remaining
images depict landscapes in Australia, Canada, Egypt, Europe, the United States and other unidentified locations.
