    Content Description

    Collection consists of manuscript, printed, and photographic materials created and collected by Marken, ca. 1960s-2000s. Materials focus on a variety of writing projects, including Marken's 2012 Stanford MLA thesis—California Tomorrow, 1961-1983: An Enduring Environmental Legacy; misc. writing projects involving food in California, the history and legacy of Sunset Magazine; mid-century modern architecture; gardening. Also contains misc. research notes and files on a variety of topics and correspondence and materials from Sunset Magazine (staff newsletters, etc.), plus 3 videos produced by Sunset Magazine.
