Abstract: Kevin Wadsworth Johnson (né Wadswoth; born 1948 May 22) is gay U.S. Marine Corps veteran and former Republican Party activist. Wadsworth Johnson ran against Harry Britt for the San Francisco Board of Supervisors in 1979 and 1980. He was active on the San Francisco Republican County Central Committee and Solano County Republican Country Central Committee (RCCC). In 1987, he competed for the Republican nomination for the 5th district of California U.S. House of Representatives seat. Correspondence, photographs, campaign literature, meeting materials, and audio and video cassettes document Wadsworth Johnson’s campaigns for SF Supervisor, activities with the RCCCs, and campaign for the U.S. House of Representatives.
