collection, including permanent URLs, item or folder descriptions, and box/folder locations.
This collection contains 90 correspondence from multiple service members to Patricia Reynolds as a part of a pen pals group
called Friends of Our Troops. Several service members from the Navy, Army, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Marine Corps participated
in the group. The correspondence ranged between 1985 and 2013, while the majority of the collection is from 2001-2011. The
service members expressed gratitude for the correspondence received from Patricia and described where they were from and where
they were stationed. Also included in the collection are greeting cards from the service members, mostly from Christmas. The
correspondence from 1985-1990 were from service members deployed in the Phillipines, South Africa, and Japan. The majority
of the collection were written from deployed troops in Balad, Saudi Arabia, Pelaram, Bigram, Bosnia, Summerall, and Bahamian.
There are no restrictions on the use of this material except where previously copyrighted material is concerned. It is the
responsibility of the researcher to obtain all permissions.
