Biographical / Historical
Audrey Spencer Arellanes (1920-2005) was born in Wyoming, but made her career and life in California. Arellanes ran the American
Society of Bookplate Collectors and Designers for 30 years. She also edited and arranged its yearbooks, wrote and published
the newsletter "Bookplates in the News" and was author of
Bookplates: A selective Annotated Bibliography of the Periodical Literature, 1971.
