File contains 2 handwritten letters regarding Lewis Birdsall Harris' death: the first is a letter to the Society of California Pioneers from his son, Lewis B. Harris, Jr., asking for assistance from the order in the burial of his father in Sacramento, written June 19th, 1893. The second letter is written by Lewis Birdsall Harris' sister, Mary J. Briscol, thanking the Society for sending a memorium to her in Austin, Texas. The letter was written July 7th, 1894.
