Description
A collection of photographic prints documenting the temple complexes of Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom, including the Bayon temple, as they appeared in the mid-1890s.
Background
French sculptor and amateur photographer, Urbain Basset (1842 Grenoble, France-1924 La Tronche, France), was sent to Cambodia by the French government to make casts of the relief sculptures at Angkor.
