Record Series 535 contains a scrapbook assembled by Robert D. Maxwell that documents the origins, early years of development,
and later history of the Medical and Dental Student Store at the UCLA Center of Health Sciences.
Background
UCLA's Medical and Dental Student Store opened in 1966 to better fulfill the needs of students at the Schools of Medicine
and Dentistry, replacing the smaller Medical Students' Store. Books, supplies, dental kits, and sundries were for sale. The
store was planned and operated by Robert D. Maxwell and Ray Senecal.
