Abstract: Condoleezza Rice is an American
diplomat, political scientist and professor. She was previously the provost at
Stanford University and served as National Security Adviser and Secretary of State
in the George W. Bush administration. In 2020 she was appointed Director of the
Hoover Institution. The Condoleezza Rice papers (1976-2019) consists of papers,
photographs, albums, scrapbooks, videorecordings and media relating to her
education, academic career and government service.

Born in 1954 in Birmingham, Alabama, Condoleezza Rice earned her Ph.D. in political
science from the University of Denver in 1981. Thereafter she became a professor and
provost at Stanford University before serving as National Security Adviser and
Secretary of State in the George W. Bush administration. In 2020 she was appointed
Director of the Hoover Institution.
