aircraft, original patent documents from Douglas Aircraft Company, Air Force Flight Manuals, and copies of
Douglas Airview and
Doug Nelson was founder and curator of the Air Force Flight Test Museum, located on Edwards Air Force Base in the Antelope
Valley area of Southern California. After a career in the Air Force from 1964 to 1986, Nelson established the museum in the
early 1990s. He remained involved until his retirement in 2007, and died in late 2020.
