Description
Scrapbooks from her student days at Stanford, volume one, 1905-08, volume two, 1908-10; includes invitations, programs, menus, calling cards, dance cards, greeting cards, clippings, postcards, notes, class registration cards, and photographs. Some items pertain to Lowell High School in San Francisco, where she graduated in 1905, including a photograph of the girls basketball team. Other photographs include beach scenes, groups of women students at Stanford, student outings, football games 1905-06, Encina Club members, 1906, and the men of the Class of 1907, taken in 1905. Volume one also includes a Stanford University transcript for William Henry Tucker.
Background
Ruth E. Lewis earned her a.b. in Greek from Stanford University in May 1909. She married William Henry Tucker, class of 1908, in 1910.
