Scope and Contents

A photograph album documenting the career of John Anson Ford (1883-1983) in his capacity as a member of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors from 1934-1958. The photographs date mainly from the 1940s to Ford's retirement in 1958, and illustrate key events in Ford's career. Images show Ford and members of his family; dedication and commemoration ceremonies with local and national officials; and some views of the Los Angeles freeway system and Zuma Beach.
