    Biographical / Historical

    Oregon State Hospital is a psychiatric hospital in Salem, Oregon. The hospital opened in 1883 as the Oregon State Insane Asylum.
    The Western State Hospital is located near Tacoma, Washington, and was formerly known as the Western Washington Hospital for the Insane.
