This series contains manuscripts of the literary and edited works of Barbara Hambly as well as the literary works of George Alec Effinger and O. Niemand (Effinger's best-known pseudonym).

Partial manuscripts have been identified, based on research conducted using published works as source material. Formats include manuscripts for full length novels and short stories.

This sub-series contains manuscripts of the literary and edited works of Barbara Hambly. The manuscripts are in various stages of development and include partial copies, copyedited versions, and publisher page proofs. Some are heavily edited. The genres of science fiction, fantasy, horror, mystery and historical fiction are represented.

Sub-Series Scope and Contents

This sub-series contains manuscripts of short stories written by George Alec Effinger using the pseudonym of O. Niemand. These stories were posthumously collected as part of: George Alec Effinger Live! from planet earth and presumably includes the complete stories Effinger wrote under the pseudonym "O. Niemand". Two of the stories found in this sub-series, The royal Annie and Under the bam under the boo, are not represented in George Alec Effinger Live! from planet earth and are possibly unpublished.
