The Harold Q. Seitz Photographic Collection documents his personal life, family, and professional activities as a photographer in the Wilmington, California area between 1948 and 1958. The collection is arranged into two series: Series I, Personal Photographs, and Series II, Professional Photographs (1948-1958). Series I, Personal Photographs, consists of snapshots and studio portraits depicting pets, birthday parties, holidays, weddings, family gathering and outings, and other events. Series II, Professional Photographs, consists of images related to community events such as charity drives, community theater, school activities, holiday parties, and beauty pageants, as well as businesses, civic organizations, and community groups. This series also includes publicity photos and a number of images depicting newsworthy events, such as automobile accidents and crime.
