Biography/Administrative History
Marie Kelzer began studying bookbinding in the 1980s and developed a strong interest in paste papers, which she continues
to use in artist books, blank books, and other paper products like covered pencils and paper flowers. She sells and exhibits
her pieces, which are considered highly collectible. As of 2018, she is based in Santa Monica, CA.
Scope and Content of Collection
The collection includes bookbinding supply catalogs from a variety of individuals and organizations, including Harcourt Bindery
Supply, Gane, Paper Arts, and many others. There are also sample books of paper, bookboard, leather, and bookcloth, and an
article on albumen photographs.
