    Biography / Administrative History

    In 1919 the Stockton Business & Professional Women's Club was created by a group of women who organized the club for social welfare and educational work. The first president was Helen Coman-Brown, formerly a member of the Portland, Oregon Business & Professional Women's Club. In 1921 the Club joined the State Federation.
    Current mission of the Business and Professional Women's Foundation (BPW Foundation) is to empower working women to achieve their full potential and partners with employers to build successful workplaces through education, research, knowledge and policy. http://bpwfoundation.org/

    Collection consists of Club History Reports created by the Club Historian, and club directories.
