Scope and Content of Collection
Jeffrey Dickemann was an anthropology professor at Sonoma State University, and a founding member of the Steering Committee
of the University of California Gay and Lesbian Alumni Association (UC GALA). The collection contains materials related to
the Association. These include bylaws, calendars, checklists, correspondence, flyers for events and awards, meeting minutes
of the UC GALA Steering Committee, membership information and application, memoranda, and newsclippings. This collection was
originally accessioned under Dickemann's former name, before his transition in the late 1990s. Its title was updated in 2024.
