    Abstract: The photographs of Timothy Wong (known as Tim Wong) document the LGBTQ community in San Francisco, California, circa 1990-2010. Wong was a gay Asian American man. He was a close friend of Marcus Hernandez (Mister Marcus) and he was involved in the leather scene, including participating in various contests as tallymaster. His photographs appeared regularly in the Bay Area Reporter (BAR) and other related publications. The photographs, including prints, negatives, and slides, document the South of Market scene, leather contests, AIDS activism, Bare Chest contests, Pride, Folsom Street Fair, Castro Street Fair, gay rodeos, and other LGBTQ events.
