The Klauber Family Scrapbook Collection consists of three scrapbooks containing programs for various performance arts events from 1896 to 1932. Various performing
arts events include theater shows, recitals, operas, Califa, a historical California pageant, and other miscellaneous productions
the Klauber family attended. Most of the theaters were located in San Diego, but the Klauber family also attended productions
in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York. Materials also include newspaper clippings, magazine clippings, flyers, and photographs
of theater and production performers. Notable theaters include the San Francisco Orpheum, Golden Gate Hall, the Grand Opera
House, Columbia Theatre, the San Diego Spreckels Theatre, the Fisher Opera House, the Amphion, the Garrick Thatre, U.S. Grant
Auditorium, Empress Theatre, Loring Theater, Cabrillo Theatre, and the Strand Theater. Various pages in each scrapbook are
annotated with hand written notes, mostly indicating the names of individuals the scrapbook author attended the production
with.
