    Abstract: This collection contains 3 letters by Mack Hobart Royal to his family back home in Fort Worth, Texas. Royal served in the U.S. Expeditionary Forces, 3rd Army, Battalion 7, 75th Artillery. Royal was born June 10, 1896 in Iredell, Texas. He died June 14, 1961 of cancer in Pasadena, California.

    Scope and Contents

    This collection contains 3 letters from Mack Hobart Royal to his family.
    Of particular note is his bewilderment with remaining in France after the armistice had been signed.
    The collection also contains biographical information from the donors, a photocopy of a photograph of Royal, and photocopies of Royal's registration card and final payment roll.
