Biographical / Historical

Theodore J. Lamoureaux lived in Oakland, California; he was a mining engineer and promoter from the 1880s to the 1920s in California and Nevada.

Scope and Contents

A collection of approximately 4,370 items from 1843 to 1924; the collection includes letters (including 9 letter books), a diary, documents, account books, receipts, and maps related to the life and business affairs of Theodore J. Lamoureaux. The collection also includes some personal and family correspondence and business papers. The mining maps, bundle of receipts (1886 to 1902), and reports, from approximately 1888 to 1923, are mostly for California and Nevada, including Elko County, Goldfield, and Tonopah.
