Description
Papers, photographs, research notes, and recorded interviews created by David Robertson, Ph.D., professor of English at University of California, Davis, on references to Mount Tamalpais in literature and art. Collection also includes a book, Real Matter, a book of essays about people who walk in the wilderness.
Background
David Robertson is a Professor Emeritus at University of California at Davis. His areas of specialty include interdisciplinary study of ecology and literature, bioregion studies, literature of wilderness, the Bible as literature, and photography. He holds a B.A. from Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University, 1962; an M.A. from University of Toronto, Ancient Near Eastern Language and Literature, 1964; a Ph.D. from Yale University, Biblical Studies, 1966 and a Ph.D. from University of California, Irvine, English, 1972.
