Biography/Administrative History
Elam Brown was an early settler in Lafayette, arriving in 1846. He was a farmer and built the first mill in the area.
Scope and Content of Collection
Holy Bible, dated 1871, presented to Elam Brown by the California Bible Society. Family documentation is hand-written in ink
and pencil in the front and rear papers as well as the Family Record section in the center.
