Spike Lee is an African-American director, producer, screenwriter, and actor active in film from the
mid-1980s. He received a 1983 Student Academy Award and was nominated for an Academy Award in the
screenplay category for DO THE RIGHT THING (1989).

The Spike Lee scripts span the years 1986-2007 and encompass 2 linear feet. The collection contains
photocopies of the scripts for most of Lee's major feature films as director and for one television film.
