Background
Patrick Russ is a symphonic orchestrator with more than 170 film score credits. These include such films as Doctor Dolittle
(1998), Rush Hour (1998), The Lizzie McGuire Movie (2003), The Day After Tomorrow (2004), and The Avengers (2012). He is president
of The Film Music Foundation. Russ has arranged the Olympic Hymn still used today, and music for the Opening Ceremonies in
Atlanta, Salt Lake City, London, and for the Closing Ceremony in Sochi. He has also created symphonic adaptations of entire
film scores, including North By Northwest (1956), Vertigo (1958), High Noon (1952), Bride of Frankenstein (1935), Casablanca
(1942) and Hitchcock! (2006), performed live in concert with the film.
