Description
The Charles H. Richardson field notes consists of two bound volumes spanning the years 1908-1911. Originally maintained by the author in three-ring field note binders, the notes were later removed and bound chronologically. The notes include journal entries and catalogs from localities within California. Volume 2 contains specimen and habitat sketches.
Background
Charles H. Richardson was born in Pasadena, California on July 7, 1887. He completed his A.B. in Zoology at Stanford, and his M.S. in Entomology at Harvard University. While Richardson was a student at Stanford, he assisted in MVZ collecting trips throughout California. He accompanied Walter P. Taylor's collecting trip in Nevada in 1909.
