    Abstract: The Samuel Stark Theater program collection consists of theater programs primarily from the United States.

    Scope and Contents

    The Samuel Stark theater program collection consists entirely of theater programs, primarily from New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. There are programs from other United States cities and from other countries as well. The collection is primarily in original order.
    The programs from New York City are arranged alphabetically by play, and provide an extensive listing of plays from the mid-1870s to the mid-1970s. All other programs in the collection are arranged alphabetically by city and then by theater.
