This collection includes the Warner Bros. related materials belonging to William "Bill" Schaefer (1910-1991), executive assistant to Jack Warner (1892-1978).

William L. Schaefer (1909-1991) began working as executive assistant to Jack L. Warner, the head of production for Warner Bros. Studio, in 1933. He continued to work for Warner until Warner's death in 1979. Schaefer later was involved in work documenting the early history of Warner Bros. through interviews and contributing to the book The Warner Bros. Story. He was married to Margaret Schaefer.
