Scope and Contents
This collection contains scripts, production notes, interviews, essays, program notes, reviews, personal papers, creative
writings, correspondence, catalogs, photographs, slides of paintings, and other materials related to the life and work of
California experimental filmmaker Sara Kathryn Arledge (1911-1998). The entire collection consists of three boxes containing
eighty folders, three three-ring binders, and one 9" x 12" x 2" box of notes.
Separated Materials
An unmarked first edition of the book
Experiment in the Film (Manvell, Roger, ed. London: The Gray Walls Press Limited, 1949) has been cataloged and integrated into the PFA library.
The films, glass transparencies, and miscellaneous audio-visual materials included in Terry and Mary Cannon's donation are
housed in the film collection.
