Description
This collection consists of 200 photographs that bear the assigned numbers and official stamp of the Cine Mundial Archivo.
The photographs are in three categories:
1) 8x10 photographs (b/w, captions in Spanish) of campesinos/rural Mexican ethnographic types as subjects, circa 1960s, early
1970s; the images appear to have been produced under the auspices of an academic or governmental entity.
2) Photographs (b/w, captions in Spanish), 1 negative, and 1 cartoon drawing of artist Diego Rivera; some of the photographs
are of Rivera lying in repose at his funeral (sepelio);
3) Photographs (b/w, captions in English) of world travel (Asia, South America, Spain), circa late 19th/early 20th century;
subjects include architecture, national/ethnic types, street scenes; many images are badly degraded/deteriorating.
