The Schooner copy photographs, circa 1890-1920, (SAFR 24644, P15-017) consists of three black-and-white photographic prints
of various schooners on the Pacific Coast. The collection has been processed to the Collection level and is open for use.
- Item 1. ROY SOMERS (built 1891; schooner, 3m) and RUDOLF N (built 1912; tugboat) anchored in the stream at Alaska, circa 1913-1916. 1 black-and-white photographic print, 4 x 6.5 in. Port broadside view of both vessels. ROY SOMERS was chartered by Whitehead Pete Nelson in circa 1913-1916.
- Item 2. Two four-masted schooners and one three-masted schooner tied up in an unidentified location, circa 1890-1920. 1 black-and-white photographic print, 8 x 10 in. The schooner on the right has a deckload of timber and a barge at the stern of the vessel is loaded with lumber. A "Williamson's Marine Photo Shop" stamp is on the verso and "2800-3" is handwritten.
- Item 3. MONTEREY (schooner) pierside with load of lumber at Alameda, California, circa 1890-1920. 1 black-and-white photographic print, 8 x 10 in. A group of four children are standing on the pier. Oakland Tribune Library Department stamp and a "Property of Mr. G. L. Roberts" label are on the verso. "Env. #84" and "Neg #1" are handwritten on the verso.
No arrangement due to the small size of the collection.
