Abstract: This small collection contains sheet music of Latin American popular and folk music dating from the late 19th century. There are 44 pieces representing eight countries: Argentina (1 item), Cuba (4 items), Guatemala (7 items), Honduras (1 item), Mexico (21 items), Nicaragua (1 item), Spain (5 items), and the United States (4 items), as well as one international volume published by Uniao Pan-Americana.
Language of Material: Spanish; Castilian.

Scope and Contents

This small collection contains sheet music of Latin American popular and folk music dating from the late 19th century. There are 44 pieces representing eight countries: Argentina (1 item), Cuba (4 items), Guatemala (7 items), Honduras (1 item), Mexico (21 items), Nicaragua (1 item), Spain (5 items), and the United States (4 items), as well as one international volume published by Uniao Pan-Americana. There is also a single issue of the Mexican monthly music magazine "Partitura" (March 1956).

Arrangement

The sheet music is arranged by the country of publication. Within the country sub-series, individual items are arranged alphabetically by title. When known, the name of the composer/lyricist and the publisher follow the title in parentheses.
