Abstract: This is the file contains the records of Phillip Dippel Sr. who came to California in 1849 from Mexico in search of gold and
fortune. The file contains a photo copy of an original typed manuscript that appeared in a newspaper from Auburn, Placer
County, California,on January 8th, 1897. The original article was titled "An Argonaut Tale" and recounted his "80 day journey
of incredible hardship".
This is the file contains the records of Phillip Dippel Sr. who came to California in 1849 from Mexico in search of gold and
fortune. The file contains a photo copy of an original typed manuscript that appeared in a newspaper from Auburn, Placer
County California,on January 8th, 1897. The original article was titled "An Argonaut Tale" and recounted his "80 day journey
of incredible hardship".
The remainder of the folder contains 10 negative photo copies of original deeds pertaining to properties owned, and leased
out, by Phillip Dipple. All of the Photocopies are official records created by the Sacramento County Records Office and were
made on September 19th, 1975. There is also a photo copy, dated August 26th, 1975 of his original application for land rights
pertaining to his homestead in Placer County. The original was dated Dec. 1st, 1874. There is also a photo copy of what appears
to have been the Dipple Family "Holy Bible" . There are a total of 5 pages photo copied an they list marriages, births, and
deaths within the family and covers the years between the 1830's all the way up to the 1960's.
