Biographical / Historical
Helliwell graduated from Stanford with his bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. In
1946, he joined the faculty in Stanford's Department of Electrical Engineering. Helliwell's
research on whistlers led to many prominent journal articles and technical reports on the
subject. He passed away in 2011.
Scope and Contents
This collection primarily consists of Helliwell's lab notebooks, journal articles, and
technical reports.
